This is a project that was developed by Cubed Collective. A group of four artists, Marta Corada, Anne-Marie Salmon, Cornelia Marland and myself. As Kings Cross is going through a major development over the last few years, for last years Cally Road Festival we thought it would be good to talk to local group, residents and business owners to see how much the Caledonian road has changed over the years. Using archive photographs we recorded conversations and took portraits of the people behind the stories which we then printed into large scale posters to paste up around the festival site for an outdoor exhibition.
